September 2023

 Carol Ann chaired the first meeting of the 2023-2024 season. 

The President's Challenge for this year is to make a fibre related item that features beads. The item should be produced between September 2023 through June 2024.

Gini showed everyone how to make Carrick Mats.

Christine wove some overshot tea towels and knit her first socks on her sock machine. She also knit another pair and cuffs.














Doreen wove pin stripe tea towels with MD cotton, the yarn and fibre are from Chatsworth fibre mill, the toques were knitted on her machine and she knitted a pumpkin.



Judy wove a jacket with a knitted trim.









Lesley knitted a giggle pattern hat for her granddaughter, wove a tea towel with bouclette 10 epi, some inkle weaving from a Lisa Graves workshop and an intricate cuff.



Gini knitted her first pair of socks from Annie's sock knitting group and a crochet blanket for her nephew.


Gayle wove crackle weave tea towels.

Suzanne knitted a series of Latvian mittens using a wood frame for blocking. The patterns are from 7 different areas of Latvia.
