October 2023

 After the meeting Annie showed everyone how to incorporate beads in their knitting. Techniques ranged from casting on with beads, placing beads within the body of your knitting, making bobbles with beads in the middle and a picot cast off using beads.

Rosemary spun tones of brown fleeces purchased from Rebecca Lampard to produce a variegated yarn. She knitted a cowl with the yarn.


Annie knitted a thrummed headband from merino yarn.


Gini needle felted a poodle and acorn with bead accents, a bead woven necklace and a second necklace made by a friend.


Janet handknit a wool sweater from handspun Corriedale blended with Merino.


Margot brought along bead decorations following Godey's ladies book.


Doreen brought a woven flower basket and a knitted hitchhiker scarf.


Karen wove a scarf with a beaded edge.
