POT LUCK LUNCHEON @ JUDY'S

Our challenge this year was to create something using red and white to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Canada's confederation.
An array of Temari balls
Suzanne's quilted bag with the Canada 150 logo
Beautiful maple leaf woven pattern on the back of the bag
Valerie created several art cards with samples of coiled Kumihimo braids.

Geri stitched and beaded a maple leaf themed biscornu (pincushion)

SHUTTLEBUG SPINNING RETREAT
NOVEMBER 2016

We also dyed sock blocks. The blocks had two strands of bare sock yarn machine knit into tubes.
They were painted on both sides.

Then rolled up like jelly rolls and put into Ziploc bags and microwaved to set the dye.

Geri got a lot of spinning and plying done.
